Meteor Alert

The Southern Delta Aquarids peak on July 28 but some may be seen now through August 17. This shower produces around 20 meteors per hour at it's peak, or better than one meteor every two minutes on average.

To observe this shower, plan to observe in the few hours before your sky brightens at dawn on the morning of the 28th. You'll want to concentrate on viewing southerly direction. Although a few meteors should be visible from the more northerly regions of the northern hemisphere, this shower will be better the farther south you are.
